Be a Volunteer

Protectors of Animals is run entirely by dedicated volunteers. There are plenty of opportunities to help! POA volunteers are people like you, who love animals. If you can donate your time, your help will be gladly appreciated!

Volunteering takes many forms:

  • Cat Rescue, Care and Placement
  •  Dog Rescue, Care and Placement
  •  Fundraising and grant writing
  •  Bringing animals to schools, community groups, and senior centers to talk about animal care and the importance of spaying and neutering
  • Organization administration
  • Providing Foster Care

We do NOT accept:

**Protectors of Animals, Inc. (POA) has volunteer opportunities for "hands on" work with the animals only for those 18 years of age or older. Those younger than 18 may want to help POA by raising money for veterinary bills through a tag sale, bake sale, school dance, car wash, etc.

POA does not provide community service hours for court ordered community service or school projects. For the benefit of the animals we serve, we look for those who can volunteer at least two hours weekly with a commitment of six months or more. Thank you.
