Claire comes to us from Elm City (New Haven), and we are so glad she made the trip north. Claire was a mama cat, and is now getting adjusted to life in the shelter. At first she hid in her box, and all you could see were two gorgeous, jade eyes peering out. However, curiosity is a famous feline trait, and out she came to see what was going on outside of her kitty condo. Her dark, silky fur is the next thing that catches your eye. Then you notice how she keeps her left paw up in the air as she sits, very dignified. She will let you pet her, but when she’s had enough the paw will gently let you know. Her shyness may require a human with patience and a little feline experience, but as curious as she is, we guess that she will adjust in no time. We’d be honored to introduce you to Claire on adoption day.
