Some cats rescue themselves. When Rex, a super friendly young cat, found himself abandoned outside, he took matters into his own hands... um.. paws. He meandered over to the home of one of our volunteers, made friends with her granddaughters, and when shown a carrier, Rex happily climbed inside. In short, Rex apparently decided that he was going to be rescued- and then made it happen. Now at the shelter, vetted and neutered, Rex continues to control his own destiny. Rex will meow loudly for attention, and then when you come near, will reach out, purr, give head butts and otherwise show his winning personality. Rex will let you hold him, and even rub his tummy. This is a great cat who is determined to make you love him. Believe me- it won't take long.
