DSH Tortie

Miracle was brought to the shelter by the people who had promised to love and care for her always. She went from being the pampered queen of her little castle to a shelter in the space of a car ride.  Unsurprisingly, Miracle let us know that she was not very happy with the twist her life had taken.   A beautiful tortie with bright orange eyes, Miracle would stare at us, telling us that she was way too smart to fall for the tactics designed to lure her out of her guarded shell.  Luckily, Miracle loves toys and treats.  And she soon figured out how to con volunteers out of plenty of both.   While we are still not entirely sure who was training who, we are thrilled to see Miracle let her guard down. Now instead of bristling at touch, she seeks it out, rubbing against ankles and looking for some attention.   Miracle wants to be loved, but is still a little wary.   Miracle would do best with an experienced cat person who will help her through the adjustment period and who can promise that she will never be abandoned again.
