Sassy, not sure the name fits her so well. She is sweet...but not “sassy”. This quiet girl, was left behind by an insensitive owner, dumped on the neighbor’s porch. So after having the same owner for seven years, she found herself in the shelter.
Sassy is gorgeous! She has beautiful, thick velvety gray fur, a little gray nose, beautiful gold eyes and a little white spot on her neck. She could afford to lose a tiny bit of weight, or do a few sit ups...like most of us :)
Sassy is making tremendous strides very quickly. Today was the first day that she was able to come out in the playroom. She spent the first half hour, safe on the shelf. Then she came down to explore and look out the window. Shortly after that, she was looking to be petted, nudging for attention. And then magic happened! She jumped on my lap. Like many kitties in the shelter, who are thrust into a new world, it will take some time to adjust… to trust and know that she’s safe in a loving home. Currently, she would probably thrive better in a quieter space, and welcome a new name, chosen by her adopted family.
