Baby Potato Litter – Tater, Yam, Spud, Turnip, Taro – Special Needs

Names: Tater (M), Yam (F), Spud (M), Turnip (M), Taro (F)

Age:    4 months

Breed: DSH

Due to their positive feline leukemia virus, the kittens in this litter will need to be the only cats in the home, but they will fill any home with purrs, love, and laughter. Please consider giving one or more of these kittens the loving home that they deserve.

All of the kittens in this litter have tested positive for Feline Leukemia.  Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is a retrovirus belonging to the coronavirus subfamily, which means it is a cancer-causing virus. FeLV can cause severe anemia and suppress the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to a variety of opportunistic diseases. FeLV is not transmissible to humans.

FeLV cats generally have a shortened lifespan.  A realistic expectation is 1-3 years.  This litter was born to a mom who has also tested positive.. They are currently in a loving foster home and are ready to move on to their forever home.  Cats with FeLV require routine vet care, a good diet, low stress, and lots of love.  Please keep them indoors to protect them from picking up any infection from outdoors.  Cats with FeLV are usually pretty healthy, until they aren’t.  If you are interested in providing a loving home to these sweet kittens, please submit an application.  We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Tater – Tuxedo Tater is a massive lap cat and cuddler. The moment you walk into a room, he is there to greet you and beg for your attention. If he could be attached to your hip and go everywhere with you; that would certainly be his preference. If you are looking for a lap cat, Tater is your baby baked potato. Tater would love to go home with any of his siblings but holds a closer bond with Yam and Turnip.

Yam – Little baby Yam Bam is looking for a furever home filled with soft beds to sleep on, warm hugs, and lots of love to surround her with. Yam likes to smoosh her way into small, cozy spaces to take long naps. She chases springy toys like it was her job! Yam would love to go home with any of her siblings but holds a closer bond with Tater and Turnip.

Taro – Baby potato Taro will have you laughing, and missing many online work meetings as she sits in front of your screen, scratching to get inside while following the mouse and the person on the screen. She loves stealing and playing with tissues, and thoroughly enjoys tearing them up like the little house panther she is. She wakes up from naps with the squeakiest meow looking for you to pick her up and cuddle. Taro would love to go home with any of her siblings but holds a closer bond with Spud.

Spud – Strikingly all black like a ninja in the night, this baby potato likes to cause mischief and mayhem by investigating every corner of every room. Darting from the top of the kitty tower, to under your feet in a millisecond, to jump into your arms and serenade you with a rolling purr of affection. Spud needs and craves love, and lots of toys! Spud would love to go home with any of his siblings but holds a closer bond with Taro.

Turnip – A perfect tuxedo with a perfect white chin beard. Turnip adores being held, and cuddling with his siblings. He plays the big brother role and grooms his siblings until he finally dozes off. Turnip is a big boy with a big appetite for food, and love. His gazes into your eyes will melt right through your heart. Turnip would love to go home with any of his siblings but holds a closer bond with Tater and Yam.
