Drax, Gamora – Special Needs – FeLV+ Cats

Name: Drax (M)

Age:     8 months

Breed: DSH

Name:  Gamora (F)

Age:     8 months

Breed: DSH

Due to their positive feline leukemia virus, these cats will need to be the only cats in the home, but they will fill any home with purrs, love, and laughter. Please consider giving one or more of these kitties the loving home that they deserve.

These kitties are best of buds now and would love to go home with one another, or into a home with another FeLV+ cat. They love laser pointers, springy toys, window seats to bird/squirrel watch, cuddles, kisses, hugs, and love.

All of these cats have tested positive for Feline Leukemia.  Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is a retrovirus belonging to the coronavirus subfamily, which means it is a cancer-causing virus. FeLV can cause severe anemia and suppress the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to a variety of opportunistic diseases. FeLV is not transmissible to humans or dogs.  FeLV cats generally have a shortened lifespan.  A realistic expectation is 1-3 years.  They are currently in a loving foster home and are ready to move on to their forever home.  Cats with FeLV require routine vet care, a good diet, low stress, and lots of love.  Please keep them indoors to protect them from picking up any infection from outdoors.  Cats with FeLV are usually pretty healthy, until they aren’t.  If you are interested in providing a loving home to these sweet kittens, please submit an application.  We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Drax - If Drax could be worn as a scarf around your neck, he would do just that. He loves to be up close and personal, and knows no boundaries in doing so. So if you are looking for a super cuddler - Drax is your guy! 8 months old and full of fun, Drax enjoys all the toys and silliness you can bring to him.

Gamora - 9 month old Gamora, the adventurer and 'trouble maker' of the squad will certainly have your attention as you watch her bounce around playing skillfully, while also being reckless. She loves being close and cuddly, but also loves her alone time snuggled up on the top of the kitty tower. If you work from home, she will be your trusted coworker, laying ever so in the way in front of your computer screen during those boring conference calls. She's the purrfect distraction.
