Any one who comes from a big family knows that when there are a lot of mouths to feed and people clambering for attention, you can sometimes get lost in the shuffle. Overlooked. Even forgotten. Two-year-old brothers Grant and Austin came to the shelter from a situation where there was a lot of love but far too many cats. Then they came to the shelter at Protectors of Animals which they have found far too loud, with too many new people and strange things. On the upside, even when they feel overwhelmed, they always have each other. They are best friends through thick and thin and their bond and reliance upon one another is apparent. If one is unsure or feeling scared, he curls into the other for comfort. They are one another’s shadow.
Playful, sweet, and truly adorable, Grant and Austin have a lot going for them. In a calm home, with people to love and work with them, they will thrive. They will, however, need adopters who are committed to continued socialization to build their trust and confidence around people. Given that their start in life involved limited new experiences, they are understandably nervous. Drawing them from their shells will require time, but will be a rewarding effort for adopter and adoptees alike.
Adoptions are now done by appointment only. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info and an appointment.
