Maybe you’re having a hard day. It’s cold and rainy, and you feel all alone. Then, you look across the room to where Bella has been napping, and you speak her name. This gentle sweetheart opens her gorgeous light-green eyes. Slowly, she rises from her bed and ambles over to where you’re sitting. You don’t have to beg her to come near; Bella will come because she wants to be with you. It’s as simple as that.
Bella climbs into your lap and begins to purr quietly. If you have a brush or currycomb handy, she’ll happily accept some grooming, but if you don’t, no worries. This big beautiful girl is there for the sheer pleasure of your company. As your hands move over her soft black and white fur and you feel the vibrations of her purring, your tensions ease. You’re not alone. You have a true companion. You have Bella.
Then, you pick up the laser toy and beam the red light at the floor. Smooth as cream, Bella rises. For a few minutes, shetracks the light around the room. If you switch to a wand toy, she’ll show polite interest and bat at it. Just don’t expect bouncy high-energy kitten antics from serene Bella. She enjoys her play time, but her favorite thing is to curl up with you.
Five-year-old Bella is a peaceful girl who would be happiest in a quiet household. While she might not object to another quiet, respectful cat or even an older child, this lovely cat would be perfectly content if her family consisted of just you and her. Bella doesn’t need a houseful of pets to keep her entertained. All she wants is to be your loving companion, and for you to be hers.
Bella has Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) which means that she is prone to urinary tract infections and should remain on a urinary tract cat food. A low stress life and a weight loss regimen will also help manage her disease. Luckily, low stress is what Bella is all about.
