Jewel would do best as an only cat. She was cat-reactive in the shelter and has been very content in her foster home as an only cat.

Jewel, nicknamed Juju, is a loving young cat who was found outside with her six kittens. She was doing her very best to keep them safe. It was hard work but she did great! Now that her kittens are weaned and she is spayed, Jewel is ready to find a family of her own, ready to be spoiled, and babied, and loved unconditionally.
Jewel is easy to love.
Sometimes she acts like a kitten herself, bouncing mouse toys all over the house, chasing her own tail, and running after the laser light. Jewel is always ready to chase a toy or any shiny light reflecting off of your phone or watch. She is curious and joyful, and absolutely full of life.
Jewel is also very affectionate. She loves to be petted and will roll around asking for more. She enjoys having her sleek ebony coat brushed. (She knows that she is gorgeous and always wants to look her best!) Jewel doesn’t even mind being picked up and carried around - at least until something catches her attention that she has to investigate. After all, it is her job to patrol the house and make sure everything is how it should be.
Jewel has shown herself to be a wonderful companion cat. In her foster home, Jewel loves to hang out in the kitchen when dinner is being prepared and then to sit on the couch and watch television with her people or to perch nearby while they catch up on a little work. Jewel doesn’t care if you are doing yoga or paying bills, she is happy just to be near you. But Jewel doesn’t need you to be home all of the time. While she may follow you around sometimes and does like to be near her people, she can also amuse herself when you are busy.
One of her favorite pastimes is to sit in a sunny window and watch the birds, something she can do for hours. Jewel can also keep herself busy playing with her toys, tossing them around and then chasing them. And of course, Jewel IS a cat, so she does enjoy her naps!
After her struggles outside, Jewel knows how to appreciate the simple things and she is looking for a simple life. Affection… a few toys… a sunny windowsill… those are her must haves. She isn’t a fan of chaos and hated the shelter. We also suspect that she is not a fan of other cats. But in a quiet home with someone to love, Jewel is perfection.
