Johnny & Geroge are a bonded pair and must go home together
George and Johnny are two sweet, precious dreamsicles who bring out the best in each other and in their owner. These are exactly the kind of pets you want to come home to after a rough day at work. Affectionate, silly, and silky-soft, they are an instant smile. Unfortunately, due to their positive feline leukemia virus, they would need to be the only cats in the home, but they will fill any home with purrs, love, and laughter. Please consider giving these two wonderful boys their forever home.
George and Johnny have tested positive for Feline Leukemia. Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is a retrovirus belonging to the coronavirus subfamily, which means it is a cancer-causing virus. FeLV can cause severe anemia and suppress the immune system, leaving the cat vulnerable to a variety of opportunistic diseases. FeLV is not transmissible to humans.
FeLV cats generally have a shortened lifespan. A realistic expectation is 1-3 years. These kittens were not born with FeLV, but were exposed to it in a previous foster home. They are currently in a loving foster home and are ready to move on to their forever home. Cats with FeLV require routine vet care, a good diet, low stress, and lots of love. Please keep them indoors to protect them from picking up any infection from outdoors. Cats with FeLV are usually pretty healthy, until they aren’t. If you are interested in providing a loving home to these handsome boys, please submit an application. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
