Joshua – Adoption Pending

Name: Joshua

Age:  1 year

Breed: DSH

Sex: Male

Approved adopters must have an appointment, but you do not need to choose a specific cat.
We often hold up the chrysalis as the example of change and metamorphosis but one-year-old Joshua would like to make the case for feline examples. Once upon a time he was a shy and insecure kitten. We were prepared to forever introduce him with adjectives like “timid” and “wallflower”. Fast forward about a few months and Joshua has shed prior uncertainties and embraced a newfound joie de vivre.
Pouncy and playful, curious and confident, Joshua likes the be in the center of it all. No more hanging back, he is ready to meet life head on. Other cats who are looking for a playmate will find a willing partner in Joshua, but those who are simply hoping for a roommate that keeps to his own corner and doesn’t rock the boat are going to be rather disappointed if Joshua shows up. He could be a one and only with plenty of human interaction and playtime or he could be a partner in crime with another willing cat. Regardless, Joshua promises to bring a lot of energy and laughter to his forever family, as well as the lesson that change is always possible.
Joshua has a perforated cornea that has healed. It currently requires no treatment and his vision is fine, but it should be monitored.
