Lena would be happiest as your one & only cat. Lena is FIV+.
Love bug Lena took all of 30 minutes before she had completely charmed every member of her foster family when she first arrived. Her level of affection towards any human, child or adult, makes her truly one of a kind. Most of her day is spent sitting on a lap, sleeping on a chest or being the little spoon in a sweet afternoon spooning session. Her beautiful eyes are bright and curious and she loves staring dreamily out the window on a bright sunny day. She is a MASTER biscuit maker. Culinary institute level biscuit making is what you can expect from Lena. She kneads every soft surface she comes across! One cute quirk is that after eating or drinking she doesn’t always remember to pull her tongue all the way back in. The pink against her black fur is both cute and comical as you wonder when she will realize her tongue is still sticking out. As you can see in the photos, Lena has been graced with very large and pointy ears making her look much like a fennec fox with her triangular features. While Lena is happy without any outward signs of health issues, she is FIV positive. This is a common virus only found in cats and cannot spread to other species. Studies conducted in 2010 and again in 2022 showed that FIV is not associated with a decreased life span as once believed. Also, FIV negative and FIV positive cats can co-exist as long as they are all spayed and neutered, stay indoors and interact amicably. Love bug Lena will be a one in a million gem for her forever home. Her sweetness has brought happiness to everyone who has crossed her path.
