Presumably named for the nut-colored swirls within their long and lovely fur, Sunflower and Macadamia are two bonded sisters who have, through no fault of their own, found themselves back at POA, from which they were adopted as kittens 3 years ago. Understandably confused and disoriented, they have leaned on one another and begun to settle into the shelter’s routine. While they won’t win any awards for bravery or courage, Sunflower and Macadamia certainly earn recognition for their docility and sweetness. Both are on the shyer side, but in a quiet home with a regular routine, and with one another for comfort, both will come out of their shells to show their new family their lovely temperament and appreciation for having been given a second chance, together. Adopters who are seeking to adopt more than one cat and who don’t want to go through the paces with kittens will certainly appreciate these girls – mellow, mild-mannered and eager to start-over with someone who will love them forever.
