Here's Copper!
Meet Copper! He is a 3 month old Beagle puppy who currently weighs 17lbs - he's going to be a big boy as an adult (our guess is close to 30lbs), maybe a throwback gene of Basset Hound in there given all the speckles on his "turned out" feet? Copper lived in an outside kennel with his sister since he was 5 weeks old with minimal human contact. He is making huge strides in his foster home, but needs a patient adopter who will help him grow and have positive fun experiences in the real world. He adores human attention, but needs to continue to learn "how to dog" and not be coddled. Copper would like to share his home with other similar sized or smaller dogs (his larger, but sweet canine foster siblings can be a bit intimidating for him). Homes with dog savvy cats and/or children 10 years and older would be potential good fits for this boy. To learn more about Copper, please contact his adoption counselor Michelle at michelle.p@poainc.org AND complete an adoption application ASAP at www.poainc.org.
