Introducing Luca!

Calling all lowrider pup fans out there - boy, do we have the dog for you! Meet Luca! He is a 6 year old Dachshund/Basset Hound mix and as his foster mom and dad say, "he just oozes love." Luca may have little legs, but he is a muscular boy and weighs in at a deceivingly fit and sturdy 43lbs. He has the jolliest trot and just LOVES people - the more the better! Not long after coming to our rescue, Luca required emergent surgery for a herniated disc in his back (not uncommon for long-backed dogs). He has made a full recovery and is a happy, active boy again! Luca is housetrained as well as leash trained - he loves getting outside to put that Hound nose to the ground! Luca is looking for a home with another similarly sized, female dog (this is what he has been used to lifelong and he also really enjoys the companionship of his female foster sister). He would be happy to share his home with respectful, dog savvy children 6 years of age and older (Luca is 100% kid tested and approved!).
