Phil

This is Phil!

Meet Phil! He is a 5 year old Beagle and is hands-down the SWEETEST dog you will ever meet (not to mention the most handsome!). Phil experienced a sudden onset of paralysis to his back legs and his owners were no longer able to continue to provide the care and attention that he needed. He had been scheduled for euthanasia, however, the vet knew that Phil deserved a chance to continue to enjoy life and reached out to one of our amazing fosters who took him into her home.

Phil has been adapting incredibly well and so quickly, to his paralysis! He gets around inside and outside on his own easily without a wheelchair, even going down stairs (he needs some help going up them still!). He is doing great learning to motor around in his wheelchair as well! As far as Phil is concerned, he does not think that there is anything wrong with him!

Phil is extraordinarily sweet and pines for human affection and attention. If he could hang out with his family all day, that would make his heart leap with joy! Phil likes to play with toys and other dogs (especially other Beagles!), but humans are his number one love.
