Two year old Oreo is waiting patiently to become yours forever. She isn’t happy in the shelter with all the new cats moving in and out, and she is thriving in a foster home. But living in a foster home means that most potential adopters never meet her. They never see her gorgeous eyes looking up at them. They don’t get a chance to pet her and see how soft she is. They don’t get to watch her joy when she plays- all in and focused. Most adopters don’t even know she exists.
So she waits.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. If someone expresses a desire to meet Oreo, we can arrange a visit in her foster home by zoom to start or in person. And since she has been waiting, we would offer her as a foster to adopt, where you can see how she does in your home before making that final commitment. We know that Oreo can win you over if she has a chance. But someone needs to give her that chance.
Oreo you can be uncomfortable with fast, unexpected movements so we would not recommend a home with small children. She can live with another cat (and as you can see, she’s doing so in her current foster home) but there will need to be a very slow introduction. But Oreo would also do well as an only pet. Like many cats, Oreo is not a fan of chaos, and a quiet home with someone who has had some cat experience would be best. We know there is someone out there with a cat sized hole in their home and in heart that Oreo would love to fill.
Oreo bonds strongly with her person. She sits in laps. She sleeps on the bed. She loves to sit in the window and watch the birds. But right now she’s sitting in that window waiting and watching for you.
