Five-year-old Cotton doesn’t want her name to create misunderstandings. To those of us in the human world, cotton is every day. We associate it with ease. With comfort. Cotton the cat is really more of a satin or a taffeta. She’s lovely and elegant if not a little bit fussy. Her radiant, sunburst-colored eyes and sunshiny coat should give away that Cotton likes the spotlight and wants all attention and affection for herself. She prefers to be a one-and-only so strongly that she physically manifests her own light as if to say “me, and no one else.” Cotton has tried cohabitation with another feline and it’s decidedly not for her. Other cats bring out the diva that stays hidden when she is without a rival. Alone, Cotton is quite loving and enthusiastic about people. She’s happy to be petted, is a good listener, and will be a lovely sidekick. But introduce other cats and she focuses on how much she hates felines that are not herself instead of how much she loves receiving the friendly overtures of humans. Pretty and very much not ordinary or basic, Cotton is going to be a wonderful cat for an adopter who is satisfied with a single, special someone.
