“Outer beauty attracts but inner beauty captivates”.
Kate Angell
Three-year-old Daisy isn’t cool or regal. We would describe her as quirky or a little goofy. Daisy doesn’t have the kind of long silken fur that draws attention, although it is just as soft. Daisy is ever so slightly cross eyed, but her eyes are bright and hopeful. Her ears always look a little too big for her head, but she might say they need to be big so that she can hear every whispered endearment.
In short, Daisy is not the kind of beautiful that attracts people from across the room. Photos of her are not going to make people gasp and ask to meet her. But we dare you to spend time with Daisy and not think she’s beautiful.
Daisy (and her sister Willow) lost their home when their person was evicted. They went to stay with a family member, but that family member was threatened with eviction for having the cats. So, they were left in a nearby park, with a litter box and a little food. Luckily, both came into Protectors of Animals’ care before anything too terrible happened.
With this history you might expect Daisy to be anxious or to have issues with trust. Nothing could be further from the truth. Pet Daisy and she is immediately all in. She will lean into your petting hand and then slowly melt into a puddle of comfy cat. She may even let you rub her tummy. She will definitely make you aware of how happy you have made her.
Daisy was described by one of our volunteers as a delight and we think that is perhaps the perfect term. She is silly and happy and loving. She has not been a fan of other cats so far (and she and her sister are definitely not bonded), but she is as open and loving a cat as you could ask for with people.
If you are looking for a show-stopping beauty we do have other cats that are exactly what you’re looking for. If you are looking for a captivating cat with a beautiful soul, ask us about Daisy.
