We are scheduling appointments for adopters to come in and meet our available cats. You do not need to choose a specific cat and we are not placing cats on hold for specific adopters unless the adopter has an approved application and has already met the cat or kitten.
Tortie cats have a bit of a reputation for bringing main character energy, so much so that there is a term for the way they show up in the world: Tortitude. This tortie-specific attitude presents itself in a variety of ways but usually denotes a confident and opinionated cat who would prefer to be the star of the show: a one-and-only who soaks up the limelight like a sponge.
One-year-old Mango may at first seem as if she's escaped the generalities attributed to her physical markings. She's cautious and quiet. She hangs back and waits. It doesn't initially appear that she's desirous of playing the leading lady. Found as a stray, Mango lacks the confidence of a steadier beginning, but one shouldn't mistake the hesitancy for indifference. She greatly relies on people to give her assurance that her environment is safe and stable and is slow to reveal herself. Mango prefers a quiet scene before she makes her entrance but she is loving and affectionate once she does. There are strong signs that when given the conditions she prefers, Mango is going to embrace her tortitude and take up her place as the center of her forever home and the axis of her forever family.
Adoptions are now done by appointment only. Email [email protected] for more info and an appointment. Adopters must have an approved application before scheduling an appointment.
