We are scheduling appointments for adopters to come in and meet our available cats. You do not need to choose a specific cat and we are not placing cats on hold for specific adopters unless the adopter has an approved application and has already met the cat or kitten.
Misha would prefer to be the only cat in the home.
Two-year-old Misha's lovely and demure appearance might lead one to believe that she's meek and restrained. While it is true that Misha prefers her surroundings to be calm and ordered, it is because she is the one who likes to bring the energy.
There is still a lot of pent up teenager left within this lady. Perhaps as a consequence of being a young mother to five kittens, Misha didn't have the opportunity to fully live out her adolescence and is now wrapping up her unfinished business. She is growing in confidence and loves to play, gleefully shredding the cardboard scratching pad, though she prefers to entertain herself instead of playing with the other shelter residents. And when her playful exuberance has been exhausted, she is welcoming of human friendships and is overall a gentle and sweet cat.
Misha would do best in a home that will cater to her energetic side and where she can be the one and only cat. She needs the space and independence to find herself given that she didn't have this opportunity when younger. In time, as most cats do, she will settle and behave more in line with how she looks. But first, Misha is making up for lost time.
