Lauren Segal

Lauren joined the Protectors of Animals Board in 2026. She lives in Wallingford, CT with her husband, Ricky Teixeira, who also serves on the POA Board, and their two rescue cats, Penny and Loretta. Her connection to POA is especially meaningful because her first cat, Lucy, was adopted through Protectors of Animals, and years later she adopted Penny from the organization as well. Lauren has a background in operations leadership and is a licensed real estate agent. She is passionate about helping animals and is excited to support Protectors of Animals' mission. Outside of volunteering, she enjoys fitness and spending time with family and friends.
