This is Bandit!

Meet Bandit! He is a 2 year old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix and weighs 12lbs, sporting the most gorgeous deep red fur. This sweet boy came to us from a hoarding situation with many other dogs - under-socialized and literally scared of his own shadow. With patience and consistent handling, Bandit has slowly been gaining confidence and has been learning that the world is not a scary place. Bandit is a medium energy boy who is just learning how to walk on a leash, but is finding that sniffing and exploring can be fun! He is also making progress on his housetraining. Bandit will need adopters experienced with fearful dogs - he is a project, but with time and patience will blossom into an amazing canine companion! Bandit's future home must have a securely fenced yard - he is a skittish boy and is a flight risk. Bandit would love to be your one and only or pending introductions, he may do well sharing a home with a calm, confident dog to help show him the ropes. Due to his skittish nature, Bandit will do best in a quiet, adult home. Connecticut adopters preferred. For more information about Bandit, please contact Stacey at stacey.doan@poainc.org.
