Meet Moose! He is a 3 year old Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix that is!) who is built like a Sherman tank. He came to us weighing 34lbs, but is a stout boy (our vet partner says he has a large frame and would do best losing just a bit of weight, perhaps leveling off at 28-30lbs). Moose is a sweet and gentle boy. He was never socialized outside of his home, so he arrived with us skittish and nervous. He quickly learned that strangers are just friends he hasn't met yet! Moose loves being outside and going for walks (something he never did in his previous life). When outdoors, he seems to ponder the universe - he intently, but quietly studies cars that pass by, squirrels running past, airplanes flying overhead - almost like his eyes have been opened for the first time and he is intently pondering the meaning of life.......if only he could talk! Moose desperately wants to be friends with other doggos, but does not understand how to politely initiate a greeting or play yet - he is an apt pupil and is learning how to take cues. He would love a social, playful canine friend to help show him the ropes and "how to dog" or go to doggy daycare to learn all things dog! Children 8 years of age and older could be a good match as well. For more information about Moose, please contact Tracey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
