Meet Nala!

If you’re a fan of kisses, snuggles, and enthusiastic butt wiggles then our Nala girl is the right fit for you.

Nala was an owner surrender and came to our shelter quite nervous. Within a few weeks, she has blossomed into a chipper girl and greets her trusted handlers with a smile and a wag! That being said, Nala is a nervous pup and is a strong believer in stranger danger. A potential adopter would need patience and time to gain her trust. But let me assure you, when she warms up to you it is so worth it! Nala has become a favorite amongst the volunteers due to her sweet, snuggly demeanor. She is a proud member of the clean plate club at every meal and will gladly chase a ball around the yard (with promises of treats afterwards of course!)

Nala previously lived with a small dog and we believe another dog may give her added confidence in her new home. She’s a tad chunky at 60 pounds, but that’s just more of her to love. Regular walks and exercise in a home environment should do wonders. She is estimated to be around 2-3 years young. We are working on basic training and with continued work from her new family, she is going to flourish. If Nala sounds like the pup for you, please fill out an application and reach out to Andrea Uglietta at andrea.u@poainc.org for more information.
