Ava

This is Ava! She is a 6 year old German Shepherd. She came to us a bit underweight, but once she puts on a few pounds her ideal weight will be around 70lbs. Ava is as sweet as she is beautiful - like all German Shepherds she is all about being with her people (she has the Shepherd "lean" down to a science as well!). Ava is a very strong girl - she is currently learning leash manners, likely for the first time in her life, and will need an adopter who will commit to her continued training. Ava is very food motivated and is eager to learn and please. She is a medium energy pup who will need daily exercise and will not be content to be a couch potato! Ava will need a home where she can be the only dog - also, no cats or pocket pets for Ava please. Ava could live with older children (teenagers) (no younger children as she just doesn't realize her own strength). Connecticut adopters only please.
