Abigail G. Jackson

Abigail G. Jackson serves as the Associate Director of Events for the University of Connecticut
Foundation, Inc. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Communication Arts: Public Relations from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before joining the
UConn Foundation in 2018, she served two terms with AmeriCorps VISTA, and worked with the United
Way of Greater Atlanta. In her current role, she created and produces the #ThisIsAmerica social justice
education series in collaboration with the Social Justice Workgroup. She also served as Co-Chair of Just
Community, a social justice committee within the UConn School of Social Work. Throughout her journey,
she has gained extensive experience in event planning, volunteer management, donor relations,
fundraising and project management. Abigail is most passionate about using strategic development
tactics to drive organizational and human capital capacity building while serving a mission that positively
impacts community and child well-being. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and
fur babies – Kobe & Sebastian, both rescues.
