Jazzy

We think cute is the perfect word to describe Jazzy. Four year old Jazzy (government name Jasmine) is a bunny soft, slightly rounded, little love of a cat. She isn’t elegant, despite her tux. She isn’t stunning or gorgeous or lovely. She is cute. Chipmunk cute. Panda cute. Jazzy cute. And we adore that about her.

Jazzy is on the more timid side, but we are starting to see her get braver and braver the longer she is with us. She soaks up attention like a little sponge, and every day she grows more confident. Wand toys are absolutely the key to her confidence. She will hop out of her condo after the toy and be halfway across the room before she’s realized it. Sometimes she scurries back to safety. But more and more she seems to figuratively shrug her shoulders (do cats even have shoulders?) and keep on playing. Every day, her world gets bigger and she is claiming her rightful place in it.

Jazzy also LOVES petting, especially when she is curled up in her little bed. She will roll around purring and showing you her tummy. Beware-sometimes you can pet it, but sometimes it’s a trap!

Jazzy also has the habit of sticking her tongue out ever so slightly when she is focusing- as seen in a few of these photos. How cute is that??? We think that it is the most endearing thing about a very endearing cat. So if you are drawn to a shyer cats… one who is looking for a little reassurance and a best friend… and you squeal at the site of a chipmunk or panda, Jazzy just might be the cat for you.
