Beetle

 You might think Beetle is a silly name for a cat. But in many cultures beetles are symbols of good luck. They are also associated with resilience, strength, and adaptability. Given this,  we think that five-year-old Beetle is perfectly named.

Beetle was found outside as a friendly stray cat. Somehow he managed to survive after being abandoned. If that doesn’t take strength and resilience, we don’t know what does. And after being placed in one of our foster homes, Beetle showed his adaptability, letting us know that he LOVES being safe inside.

Beetle likes to spend as much time as possible with his people. And if he were able to choose exactly how to spend that time he would probably tell you that you should play with him, and then play with him, and then play with him a little more. Then a snack. Then a cuddle. And then some more playtime. We think you get the idea.

Beetle is athletic and active. He loves a wand toy and he can really get some air when he jumps. He would be happiest in a home with someone who help him burn off his energy and give him lots of attention. If you are looking for couch potato who will sit next to you while you read, this is not your cat.

Beetle also has a soft and sweet side. He promises that once playtime has done, he will curl up on the bed with you. He will purr and snuggle. He will do his best to let you know how grateful he is for you.

While Beetle is friendly and confident with people, he does not care for other cats so he would need to be your one and only. But he would want us to remind you that Beetles symbolize good luck. And finding a cat who wants to be your best friend and playmate… well, that would be good luck indeed.
