Callie

Calico cats are all too frequently named Callie, and while we think it is a cute name, it is far too common for an uncommon beauty like out Callie (aged 1).  Because Callie is a stunner.  From her celadon green eyes (with perfect eyeliner), to her pink nose to her burnt sienna, cream and butterscotch fur, to her milk-white paws, this girl is absolutely lovely. Stop and stare lovely. Need to touch lovely.

And Callie loves to be touched. She rolls around and curls into you. She shows her tummy. (Careful! It is a trap!)  She leans and purrs and asks you to be her friend. Callie can get a little overstimulated with too much petting,  but if you let her choose, she will let you know when it is becoming too much.

But as we all know, pretty doesn’t automatically mean a charmed life. Callie has had a rough start. While she was obviously someone’s cat once, she was found living outside. A kind person took her onto her enclosed porch but was not able to let her into the house because of her own pets. This Good Samaritan kept her safe until we had space to take her in. Since she has been with Protectors of Animals, Callie has been reluctant to leave her condo to meet the other cats. We suspect that other cats may have bullied her while she was living outside. So at this time, we would say that she would do best as a one and only with someone who is willing to give her some time to feel safe. She promises to do her best and to thank you with as much affection as you could possibly want.
