Six-year-old Clawdia is a beautiful lady who craves love and stability. Poor Clawdia was left behind when her former people moved away and the fear and anxiety that followed in the wake of her abandonment was a heavy load to bear. Change is therefore not high on Clawdia's list of favorite activities. She understandably needed an adjustment period upon her arrival at the shelter as memories of her previous significant change weighed upon her. Time to process and adjust along with reassurances of her safety brought forth an entirely different cat than the one who arrived at the shelter, traumatized and angry.
With enough distance between her and her unhappy memories, Clawdia felt safe to show us that she wanted to love and trust people. That she craved petting and affection. At her core lies a sweetheart who doesn't understand why she rejected. We anticipate she will be a highly people-oriented cat with an adopter who offers her the time, steadiness and reassurances she needs to put the past in the past and build a lifetime of trust and happiness.
