When people talk about “orange cat energy”, they usually mean outgoing, open, and maybe a cat that is waiting for a visit by the brain cell. You know, all of the vibes, but no Einstein. Two-year-old Connor is an orange cat who does not have orange cat energy.
Now we aren’t saying he isn’t friendly. He is. He will purr and roll over. He will lean in for pets. He definitely wants to be your friend. But he is more thoughtful than eager. He ponders. He checks things out. And then, when he realizes that everything is good, he leaps in with his whole heart and soul.
And his hesitation makes sense. Connor was found abandoned outside. His life has not been perfect. He has likely faced situations that weren’t safe. Leaping without looking can get an outside cat hurt. And as we have said, Connor is smart.
We hope that in his forever home, Connor will learn to be all about the vibes… that he will stop having to be careful… that he will embrace his inner orange cat energy and learn to love adventures and enjoy the unexpected. But in the meantime, he’s a spectacular cat. And we know he’s going to do just fine.
