"Pizza in the morning, pizza in the evening, pizza at suppertime! When pizza is on a bagel, you can eat pizza anytime!"

                                                          1990's Commercial

If you watched a lot of children’s television in the late 1990’s or early 2000’s you probably remember the commercial for Bagel Bites. (One even featured Tony Hawk.) The jingle was catchy, the marketing impressive, and the frozen pizzas were a pretty popular after school treat.

What does this have to do with cats? Well, this very handsome young lad is named Bagel Bites. We are not sure exactly how he got his name (BB came to us from another rescue) but it suits his slightly goofy outlook on life. BB is believed to be less than 18 months old and was found living in a colony of about 30 cats. Since he is extremely friendly with people, we suspect that he was abandoned there by someone who saw all the cats and decided it would be a safe place to leave him. It wasn’t. The cats would often fight over food, and we suspect that Bagel Bites did not win many of those fights.

Despite this rough period, Bagel Bites is an energetic, affectionate, silly boy who has liked most of the cats and all of the people that he has come across. He can’t skateboard (as far as we know) but BB would give Tony Hawk a run for his money in terms of popularity. And who wouldn’t want to have this gorgeous fellow to cuddle in the morning, in the evening, or anytime at all?
