We are scheduling appointments for adopters to come in and meet our available cats. You do not need to choose a specific cat and we are not placing cats on hold for specific adopters.
Katie would do best as an only cat. She has shown some aggression toward the other shelter cats.
For those who don’t need or want extremes, who prefer to navigate life safely from the middle of the road, we’d like you to meet 5-year-old Katie.
Katie came to POA due to a change in living situation which no longer permitted pets and she is now ready to start a new, preferably placid, chapter. Katie would be the perfect companion to someone whose life is a model of order and precision. She likes when things go as planned and she knows what to expect. Her best days are those punctuated by regularly scheduled events: breakfast, nap, play, bath, nap, snuggle, nap, dinner, bath. nap. The most variety she wants to introduce to her routine is a spontaneous sprinkling of catnip, which she loves.
While some may argue that variety is the spice of life, Katie argues that expectations provide the ballast for smooth sailing. Routine drives comfort and with comfort comes the permission to let down one’s guard and live one’s life fully. Katie will be a steady companion. A dependable source of friendship and comfort. Someone to come home to at the end of the day with the knowledge that your arrival has been long awaited and the comforts of the evening are joyously anticipated.
