We are scheduling appointments for adopters to come in and meet our available cats.  You do not need to choose a specific cat and we are not placing cats on hold for specific adopters.
Before she was fully born, Mojave (“Mo” or “Momo”) had a challenge to face. Born breech she gave everyone quite a scare but moments later began climbing and moving showing her foster family that they need not worry.  She continued to march to the beat  of her own drum. She finds her own spot to nap while her siblings were in a pile together. She explores on her own and can be a wallflower at times. But it’s hard not to notice her with her unique coloring. She got the nickname “eyebrows” because of the coloring around and over her eyes. She’s very play motivated so to bond with her you will need wand toys and toy mice. She becomes brave when it means having fun with humans and siblings.  Mo loves to put things in her mouth and is often seen moving about a room with a toy mouse in her mouth. But she also does the same for postits, paper, full size notebooks and tissues. We are hoping she grows out of that but in the meantime unless you want tissues strewn all over a room, it’s best to flip the tissues boxes upside or out of her reach. She also loves to practice her pouncing skills on things that don’t move (she hasn’t missed once!). Another quirky activity, especially during chillier mornings is she loves to tunnel under fluffy comforters. She usually always finds her way back out, but sometimes needs help. Once she’s out, she goes right back in to do it again.  Meanwhile, her siblings are pouncing on her as they see this lump moving around under the blankets.  Mo would do better in a quiet household. Although she’s been in contact with kids, loud noises and rambunctious behavior spooks her (unless she’s the one making the noise and having the zoomies).  She does a great job with her siblings who are more social because it helps her out of her own shell. Being adopted with one of them would be amazing. She’s so much more carefree with them. Another great way to bond is at mealtime. She gets intimidated if you tower over her but she welcomes petting while she eats. Mojave is ready to meet her forever family and have a home to call her own.
