We are scheduling appointments for adopters to come in and meet our available cats. You do not need to choose a specific cat and we are not placing cats on hold for specific adopters.
Meet Smokey (although her foster mom likes to call her Mama Beans), a charming and affectionate cat looking for a loving forever home! This sweet girl has a gentle personality and loves nothing more than curling up for cozy naps which she often likes to do in the sun, or playing with her favorite toys which is anything that moves and wiggles, preferably a play mouse. She loves hiding and jumping out at her interactive toys, laying with the toy mouse between her paws and kicking it with her back paws - silly girl. She loves to be brushed and will lay down and show you her belly while you brush her. (she's not a big fan of her belly being rubbed but will purr forever if you rub her ears and under her chin). She loves her wet food and will sit very patiently in the background while you open a new can. She's a very patient girl.
Smokey was quite shy when she arrived at her foster mom's house but within a day she wanted nothing more than to explore the house that awaited her. Once she started exploring, she was like a whole new cat! She was playful and curious and was even purring and sitting in her foster mom's lap by day 2. She does not like to be cooped up and would rather roam and explore her new surroundings. She loves the freedom!
Smokey has never been around other cats before so she may do better as an only cat or slowly introduced to a cat you may already have in the home. She will need a little love, patience, and time to adjust to her new surroundings if there is another cat in the home.
With her soft, long coat and expressive dreamy eyes, Smokey is sure to steal your heart. Fully vaccinated and litter-trained, this adorable girl is ready to bring warmth and joy to your home.
Adoptions are now done by appointment only. Email poaplacement@gmail.com for more info and an appointment. Adopters must have an approved application before scheduling an appointment.
