Here's Poppy!

Please meet Poppy! She is a just turned 1 year old Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix and weighs 8lbs. This sweet girl had a litter of 6 puppies at only 9 months old and is finally learning how to be a dog, now that the last of her babies have found homes.

Poppy is a sweet and affectionate girl that needs to "get out in the world." Her perfect home will take her on adventures and help build her confidence to mature into the best dog she can be - she is a clean, blank slate! She is crate trained/pee pad trained and is learning about utilizing the great outdoors for her potty breaks.

Poppy is happy to make friends with smaller friends (under 25lbs), but does not want to share a home with big puppers. She adores her 11 year old human foster sister and would be thrilled to have older kids in her home. Bonus - Poppy ADORES men, a rare find in the rescue  world. She completely would thrive and need a home with a man we have discovered, with possibl a very patient female resident to build a relationship with her.
