Mel has been a member of POA’s foster team since 2020. She lives in Glastonbury with her husband and their two ‘foster fail’ kitties, Captain and Bolt. Mel works in Cigna’s Global Procurement organization focused on process design and change management. Her passion for animals extends across all species, small and large (yes, even insects). Being in nature is her ‘happy place’ and she regularly supports conservation efforts. She has been on two ecotourism trips through Tamandua Expeditions, to Peru to explore the rainforest as well as South Africa. When not traveling, other hobbies include playing softball in Glastonbury and Manchester co-ed leagues and running as a guide for Achilles International. She is so excited to dive into fundraising and event planning and to bring the community together to support POA’s mission!
