Adoptable Dogs

Our eligible dogs for adoption change frequently because so many potential owners use POA to identify and adopt the right pet. But chances are good that the faces you’ll see here are all currently ready for a home. Please Note: We do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 6, and individuals and/or families must live in the State of Connecticut.

Please complete POA's online adoption application on a PC or laptop. A completed application forwarded by a cell phone or MAC may not be delivered.

Requested Adoption Donation (Tax Deductible)

  • Adult dog (12 months and older):  $375
  • Puppies (11months and younger):  $475
  • Bonded Pair:  $600

Special needs dogs and senior dogs may have a reduced suggested donation.  This is evaluated on a case by case basis and if applicable will be noted in the dog's description.
