Here's Lucas!

Meet Lucas! Lucas is a 1 year old hound mix, about 55 pounds, and incredibly adorable. Lucas was found as a stray and we don't know his history, but he's working to gain confidence and we're so proud of how far he's come. He can be timid around new people, but he oozes sweetness and readily accepts hugs and cuddles. Lucas thinks the cuddly shelter volunteers might be a little too obsessed with his big, velvety ears ... but Lucas doesn't mind. Although he's still adjusting to new people, he never turns down a chance to meet new furry friends. Judging by the excited wags and pounces and play bows, Lucas LOVES dogs! Because of this, we think Lucas would do great with a canine sibling who can help him gain confidence as he settles in with his new family and learns that he's finally safe.
