Thea

Meet Thea, a beautiful dog named for the Greek Goddess of Light. This gorgeous girl has had a rough start to life but has the sweetest temperament you could ever find. She came to us quiet and timid but she quickly became everyone’s best friend. She loves to be the center of attention and has become so playful and youthful over the last few weeks!

Thea loves constant petting and would adore being someone’s lapdog. She would love to be a companion to anyone big or small (although she does jump occasionally and might unintentionally knock little kids down). She is a bit shy when she first meets you, but once she comes out of her shell she is the biggest love bug around! She also seems to get along just fine with other dogs. She loves her daily walks and does quite well on the leash.

Thea’s dream home is with a family or individual willing to give her the care and love she needs. She has a few temporary medical conditions right now (which she is being treated for) as well as a luxating patella in her hind leg that will eventually require surgery. Given her condition when she first arrived, she was in dire need of some TLC. But now she’s a 52lb lap dog that will just melt your whole heart. She would likely be an excellent candidate for someone who wanted to train her as a therapy dog. Thea is the type of dog who can really connect with people and you’ll fall in love the moment you meet her—everyone does!
