Meet Nellie! She is a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier and is a solid 15lbs. This sweet girl came to us under-socialized and literally scared of her own shadow. With patience and consistent handling, Nellie has slowly been gaining confidence and has been learning that the world is not a scary place. Nellie is an energetic girl with springs in her legs, bouncing just like Tigger! She loves to chase after balls thrown for her and runs like the wind. Nellie will need a family committed to her continued socialization and who will provide her with opportunities for lots of positive experiences out in the world! Nellie's future home must have a securely fenced yard or she must never be let off leash when outside as she is a flight risk. Nellie would love to be your one and only or pending introductions, she may do well sharing a home with a calm, confident dog to help show her the ropes. Due to her terrier nature with high prey drive and an eagerness to chase, Nellie will do best in a home without smaller dogs, cats, or small children.
