Smokey is Gray & 5 years 10 months old.
Like the lovable cowardly lion from The Wizard of Oz, our big Smokey trembled with fear.  He was afraid of people and noise, and he hid in his cat condo waiting for the Wizard to grant him some courage.  What Smokey didn’t know was that, like the cowardly lion, he already possessed all the courage he needed.  All he needed was some time in a foster home to find that courage.  And there he met other foster cats and discovered how wonderful their companionship was, and how much fun it was to play with them. He cuddled with them, slept with them, and gave them kitty baths.   Smokey did not like to be picked up, but he loved to cuddle with his foster mom too, and enjoyed being petted and brushed and having quiet time with her.

Smokey would do best in a calm, quiet home with another cat to keep him company and boost his confidence.  He will probably always be a bit timid, but he is also very affectionate.  He just needs a loving parent, and he’s sitting here waiting for them because he knows, paws crossed, that there’s no place like home… no place like home... no place like home…

Diego is Tiger & White and 3 years and 4 months old.
Got kids?  Need a great way to entertain them?  Diego is here to help.  This sturdy and gentle young boy loves to play and craves attention.  He’ll keep the kids busy (and out of trouble!) with his silly antics.  When it’s time to settle down and do homework, he’ll sit quietly with them and let them work, and he would be happy to shred any papers with wrong answers.   Later, if he’s allowed, he’ll even sleep with them at night to ward off scary monsters.

Diego gets along great with other cats and all people.  He’s friendly and outgoing from the get-go, so if you’re looking for a cheap baby-sitter, or just a great addition to your family, Diego is your boy.
